Keeping your body hydrated

Just wanted to share with you some Hydration facts:
  • Not just any liquid will hydrate a person properly
  • Water alone does not provide adequate salts
  • Sugary drinks, such as colas and many juices, can worsen the diarrhea
  • Salty liquids, including soups, can have too much salt and be dangerous
  • Sports drinks do not have the right proportions of carbohydrates (too much) or salts (too little)
When you are properly hydrated everything else in your body works more effectively, due to the fact that our bodies are made up of 70-73% water.
